For the past two weeks Rockliffe Manor has been celebrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) fortnight and the children have had a wonderful time exploring and developing their knowledge and skills in these areas. Nursery and Year Five worked together to create a presentation on the importance of not wasting food and different composting systems.Year Two created a tyre garden which sits proudly outside their classroom and Reception and Year Three took part in a water filtering investigation. Year One and Year Four also joined forces to create some fantastic plastic stools out of recycled plastic bottles - do look out for them in our book corners! To mark the end of STEM week parents and carers were invited to our first ever STEM Fair where the children were able to showcase and talk about what they have learnt over the past two weeks. We would like to thank everyone who came for their support and we are already looking forward to the next one!
