Rockliffe Manor Enterprise Week
Last week Rockliffe Manor held our annual Enterprise Week. The purpose of the week is to encourage the children to think about how they might raise money for local charities. Every child was given the sum of £1 that they used to fund an idea or a product they hoped to make a small profit from. The children wrote their own business plans and calculated their finances in preparation for a business pitch which they delivered to a panel of judges who then gave them feedback on their products and ideas. The children then spent a busy week preparing their wares to be sold at our Enterprise Market.
After school today we welcomed our parents, carers and friends into the playground to shop the fantastic stalls that our children had set up. There was food, drinks, glitter tattoos, decorated rocks, bird feeders and much more on offer with all of our products proving extremely popular. After totalling up our takings and deducting our costs we managed to make an overall school profit of £134.21 which will be donated to charity. What a great success!
