Rockliffe Manor Remembrance Assembly
Today we held our annual Remembrance Day assembly for the whole school. Our Year 6 children led the assembly beautifully. They recited poems, explained the meaning behind the symbolism of the poppy and also read the names of friends and relatives of children from across the school that fought in WWI and WWII, as well as in more recent conflicts. We also held the customary two minutes silence at 11 o'clock which was impeccably observed by everyone. We are very proud of the respect shown by all at Rockliffe Manor!
