Maths Week - Enterprise Project
This week to coincide with our annual Maths Week our children took part in an Enterprise Project. The aims of this project were to develop the children's knowledge and understanding of different types of jobs, how money is made and spent when designing and making products and to help them become more enterprising.
Each class was allocated a budget of £1.00 per child with a remit of designing, making and advertising a product that can be sold to members of the school community. The challenge was to make a profit on their original budget.
Today, after all of their hard work, the children got to sell their products to parents, carers and friends at our Rockliffe Manor Enterprise Market. There were lots of great items on offer such as jewellery, cakes, fruit cocktails, 'beat the goalie' and many many more. The market was a huge success with many visitors to the stalls and we look forward to calculating what are sure to be some great profits!
