Posted on: 21/11/2016Year 2 Trip to the Science MuseumAt the science museum we took part in a Space workshop 'Destination Space' that taught the children about the jobs and people needed for a successful rocket launch. We also explored the Wonderlab, where the children did a range of interctive, hands on experiments and science investigations.
Posted on: 26/04/2016Y1 & 2 Trip to Rockliffe GardensOn Friday last week, Years 1 and 2 went on an exciting plant hunt to Rockliffe Gardens. The children enjoyed walking round the park looking for different plants and ticking them off on their sheets. We spotted lots of daffodils and bluebells! They also spent some time sketching different flowers and trees and collecting pine cones to bring back to class.
Posted on: 13/04/2016EYFS Trip to Woodlands FarmOur EYFS children visited Woodlands Farm today to search for the Gruffalo. The children got to see many different animals as well as take part in activities such as making masks and a forest walk which they all really enjoyed! The children and their parents had a great day and they even managed to find the Gruffalo!

She spoke to the children about the books she has written and also about how she came up with the ideas for writing her stories. Nicola also read excerpts from some of her books to the children which they really enjoyed!
