Posted on: 29/09/2017Aviva 'Scientific Discovery Garden' Launch EventAfter school today we officially launched Rockliffe Manor's Scientific Discovery Garden, which was created using funding won from the Aviva Community fund. It was lovely to see so many children, parents, staff and governors come together for this event and also to see the children enjoying our new pond dipping equipment and tree swing. The Scientific Discovery Garden will be a real asset to Rockliffe Manor and will provide the children with first hand learning experiences in science and the natural world.
Posted on: 29/09/2017Macmillan Coffee Morning and Cake SaleThis morning we were pleased to welcome parents and carers to our Macmillan Coffee Morning where we shared coffee and cake, while also raising money for the Macmillan charity. We also held a cake sale after school to raise further funds for this great cause, managing to raise a grand total of £43.02. Thank you to all of those who attended! Posted on: 27/09/2017Years 2 & 5 - LFB WorkshopYears 2 & 5 welcomed a very special visitor from the London Fire Brigade into their classes today. The firefighter who visited, taught us all about fire safety and what to do in the event of fire. The children really enjoyed her visit and learnt some great new life skills.

At the library we met Toyin, one of the librarians, who read us an enjoyable and exciting story about animals. We then got to explore the books and the library for ourselves and also learnt about borrowing and returning the library's books.
Posted on: 22/09/2017Cancer Research Race for Life - Final TotalYou may remember that before we broke up for the Summer holidays, Rockliffe Manor took part in our very own sponsored ‘Race for Life’ around Winns Common to raise money for the Cancer Research Charity. We have now totalled up all sponsorship money and we have managed to raise an unbelievable grand total of £3,818.42 for the Cancer Research charity. We would like to send a huge thank you and well done to the whole of the Rockliffe Manor school community for taking part, sponsoring and supporting this event. Thank you!

While they were there the children met the librarian and looked at the books and around the library. We also read some stories and were even allowed to borrow a book each to read back at school!

After many months of improvements we are now delighted to announce that Mrs Oldfield will be officially opening the Rockliffe Manor Scientific Discovery Garden on Friday 29th September. They enjoyed collaborating with colleagues from across all three schools and also shared with each other their hopes and aspirations for the year ahead. Welcome NQT class of 2017!
