They have been looking at water consumption, sanitation, contamination and the impact of having, or not having, access to clean water. They also thought about and discussed where London gets its water from.
Posted on: 19/10/2018Diversity Week 2018This week Rockliffe Manor held our ever popular annual Diversity Week. This year our theme was Gender Diversity and celebrating what makes us all unique. Throughout the week we explored gender equality and stereotyping, healthy relationships and children's aspirations for the future through lots of exciting workshops and activities. We also held our infamous World Cafe where children and parents joined us in sampling dishes from around the world which were kindly donated by members of our school community.
Posted on: 04/10/2018Reception Storyteller VisitToday Reception class welcomed in a special visitor, professional storyteller, John Kirk. We really enjoyed listening to the traditional tales from Africa, China and India that John told us and enjoyed dressing up in the costumes which really brought the stories to life. What a magical experience!
Posted on: 04/10/2018Year 2 Local Visit - Puddingstone GrangeYear 2 had an amazing time spreading happiness at Puddingstone Grange this morning. They had previously visited last week, and after joining the residents in the garden for some songs, had asked questions to find out what happiness means to them. From their gathered responses, Year 2 then spent the week carefully planning enjoyable activities in preparation for their second visit today. The children and the residents had a wonderful time taking part in these activities and spending time together, achieving Year 2's aim of promoting happiness for all!
