Posted on: 28/02/2017Spelling Bee Finals 2017As part of our Book Week celebrations, today we held the finals of Rockliffe's annual Spelling Bee. Our finalists took it in turns to spell out words from their core texts and other famous children's books in knock out style competition to determine the overall winners from each class. Well done to all of our finalists, as well as all children who took part in the heats throughout the week!
Posted on: 27/02/2017Book Week - Author VisitAs part of our Book Week, the author, Lawrence Prestidge visited us today. He read us some of his book 'Terror at the Sweet Shop' and then visited each class for a workshop, where he helped pupils to create their own book characters. Lawrence then joined our book fair after school to sign copies of his books for our pupils. What a fantastic day!

Posted on: 20/02/2017Rockliffe Daily MileWe were very excited today to start The Daily Mile challenge. The Daily Mile will take place every afternoon for fifteen minutes for children in KS1 & KS2 who will walk, run or jog around the playground with their teachers and TA's. We really enjoyed today's Daily Mile and look forward to feeling the benefits of this daily exercise. We wrote to them about all the fantastic learning we have been doing in Reception class. We can't wait for our families to recieve them!
