Posted on: 21/12/2016Autumn Term Learning OutcomesOur Nursery children enjoyed reading Handa's Surprise in autumn 2. They visited Woolwich Market to buy their own fruit and also created vibrant prints using the colours from the book. Year 1 read 'The Robot and the Bluebird'. They then created their own robot characters and wrote their own stories of friendship. The children also made robot collages to illustrate their stories.Year 2's core text was 'King of Space'. The children wrote their own space adventures based on the story and created their own lunar landscapes using collage and printing. In autumn 2 Year 6 studied the core text 'The London Eye Mystery' and wrote their own narratives based on the story. They also created monochrome cityscape collages using cardboard inspired by Lowry's paintings.
Posted on: 19/12/2016Reception & KS1 NativityThis week our Reception and Key Stage 1 children have been performing their nativity to the school and parents. The children sang beautifully and remembered all their lines and actions to songs. Merry Christmas everyone!
Posted on: 16/12/2016Year 3 Benchball TournamentSome of our Year 3 pupils took part in a Benchball tournament at Woodhill school today. The children represented Rockliffe Manor very well by demonstrating good teamwork and effort. We are very proud of them. Well done!
Posted on: 14/12/2016Nursery Festive Sing-A-LongToday our Nursery children performed festive songs for their parents and carers. Some of our favourites were 'Here we go up to Bethlehem', 'Little Donkey' and 'When Santa got stuck'. We also treated the parents to glasses of Mulled apple juice and mince pies. Yum!
Posted on: 14/12/2016Y4 Singing at Puddingstone GrangeOur Year 4 class visited Puddingstone Grange residential care home to sing Christmas carols and spread a little happiness and Christmas cheer. 'Silent Night' was a favourite among the residents as was 'Joy to the World'. We also sang 'We Wish you a Merry Christmas' and 'Oh Holy Night'. Merry christmas from Year 4!
Posted on: 09/12/2016Christmas Tree ProjectThank you to everyone who donated a gift for The Christmas Tree Project which provides Christmas presents to children in need across the Royal Greenwich Borough. Police officer PC O'Hara came to collect the gifts today and was extremely grateful for the generosity of our school community. With our help they have now managed to exceed the target for the number of presents needed for children in need in Greenwich.

Posted on: 01/12/2016Year 5 Athletics CompetionToday our Year 5 pupils went to Eltham Hill School to take part in an athletics competition. They all had great fun trying out the many athletics events and also enjoyed meeting the Eltham Hill pupils.
