Opportunities at Rockliffe Manor

Sports, Health and Wellbeing Leader

 

Pay Range £9,663.90 (Scale 5, sp 25 pro-rata and depending on experience)

Start date ASAP

Responsibilities: Leading lunchtime activities, coordinating and running after school clubs, training play leaders

Leading on sports, health and wellbeing

Hours 3 x days 11:30-13:30, 2 x days 11:30-4.30pm (16 hours per week)

 

Rockliffe Manor Primary School is looking for an exceptional sports leader to join our lively, warm and enthusiastic team. We are looking for someone who is:

  • Innovative, passionate about teaching sport, health and well-being and with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • A consistently excellent practitioner with high expectations
  • A team player with energy, stamina and lots of creativity and fresh ideas
  • Resilient
  • We want somebody who is child - focused, open-minded, articulate, organised, creative, risk-taking, shows initiative and will work hard to maintain the family-feel at our school

 

Our staff are committed to every child making accelerated progress in a happy and safe environment.

Our children are well behaved and enjoy coming to school. We are looking for a Sports, Health and Well Being Leader who can:

 

Sports Leadership

Teach and lead lunchtime sports activities

Develop participation in sports clubs and teams

Contribute to provision funded by the Sports Premium

Promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles

Deliver excellent lessons to pupils

 

Health

Understand some of the issues affecting the mental health of children under 12

Understand and promote a healthy life-style

Develop programmes designed to promote and boost physical and mental health

Build relationships with external providers who work in health and can offer guidance and experiences for our pupils

 

Well-being Leadership

Design and run activities designed to promote well-being in pupils and staff

Provide a small group mentoring role to students.

Run a sports after-school club provision

Be a reference point for students who are referred by teaching and support staff – mentoring students as appropriate

The Inspire Partnership is a multi-academy trust of 5 schools based in Greenwich and Medway.

Due to the continuing growth of our Trust, we are looking to appoint new teachers from January or as soon as possible.
